Is it me or is the error page in Google’s Chrome web browser just the best example of design since the inception of Google’s logo?

Plans are finalized to go to the TechCrunch/Austin Ventures “The Web Starts At The Grass Roots” event next week in Austin. It has been a long time since I’ve attended a TechCrunch event and a really long time since I have been to Austin.

After receiving a great deal of feedback and suggestions both from customers and our internal team we have decided to make some design revisions to Zigabid. Below is a sneak peek of the homepage which should find its way to your browser in the coming weeks. A few key elements of the interface include a prominent video explanation of Zigabid’s products and services, a simplified process diagram, a prominent call-to-action to view tutorials and a explanation of the most active events diagram.

LinkedIn is a very powerful networking site for professionals, and I use it frequently. That said, the UI team needs to review how they handle paging. Below is a snippet of a page that was rendered this afternoon with results for members who have attended the University of Arizona. The usability of this interface is about a D+ in my book.

It’s been a number of years since I’ve toured with the Dave Matthews Band. However, I still remain a loyal fan and the band surely had an impact on my life and music interests/aspirations. My saxophone just might be put to rest indefinitely.

Yes its true. I spent the morning at the Department of Motor Vehicles. They have the best trash bins I’ve seen in some time. The bins clearly read “IDENTITY THEFT is on the rise. This is not a secure trash bin.” I suppose its my ocd shredding skills have some benefit.

Well, a suppose this is a glimpse into the future and past. Yesterday we did a soft-launch of Zigabid.com so that is an ounce of stress that has been lifted. It is a strange feeling, I thrive off creation and previously at Juxt Interactive and Go Farm we released multiple projects each year, however Zigabid was a 19-month creation.
As far as the past goes, I re-connected with a old friend last night… It was insightful, I realized that not only do I have a love for music, but I have also have a knack for collecting rare and odd tunes that play a role in my life. I believe I first heard Scatman in a club in Asia or the Middle East in the early 90’s. Cheers.

So, for all folks who believe work limits my personal life, you are probably correct. However, I did make an exception. I took Monday off, to visit the Getty which probably requires 3-5 visits to view the entire campus of the museum and its grounds. However, this was just a build up for my reunion with my love for music. Coldplay, isn’t quite U2 yet — but they are well on their way. This Monday marked the beginning of the Coldplay tour in Los Angeles. Due to the unique layout of their stage it was difficult to snap a shot, but below you can see a glance of the band and of the Getty which hosts probably the best views of LA.

I can’t really figure out why most cities make zoning such a big deal. We moved into our new offices in March of this year, and still haven’t had our sign approved. If my math is correct that means we’ve spent over 1/3 of a year without a sign… that seems ridiculous to me. Wouldn’t the city want us to prosper? Well, that aside we finally were allowed to have our logo placed on the door. Very exciting after such a long time.
