Case Study

I may be biased (read-below) but its hard to say that this isn’t one of my favorite sites/designs. Sunday Afternoon is an alternative rock band based out of Tucson, AZ. The initial creative direction came from Joe Stewart who I thought nailed it! The design evokes emotions of an organic rock band in a desert setting. Have you seen a color palette or site that resembles this before? Since Tucson has such a massive music scene and the city is also at the core of the bands music we wanted to incorporate the city into the website. This was done in two ways: first via amazing photography by Ryan Mihalyi, and secondly through illustrations done by Joe and Heath.

The reason I mention my bias is that I have have managed the band on-and-off over the years, and they are all longtime friends.
