After the launch of the re-designed of www.westcoastchoppers.com site , West Coast Choppers brought Go Farm on board to build a custom E-Commerce platform.

The pre-existing store was was a burden to maintain, lacked common usability, and was visually not a proper representation of the brand. Go Farm spent a year developing specifications and building the new commerce platform. Primary objectives included reducing the burden to add new products, update product prices, put products on sale, add a robust promotion management system, integrate real-time payment processing to prevent fraud, integrate real-time shipping estimates, and automate the process of placing orders for purchasing parts (this process was previously managed on paper).

At the time the existing store was running on a Linux/Debian environment so the decision was made to build the commerce platform from scratch in Java using technologies such as Spring, Hibernate, JSP, JSTL, and Velocity. The commerce platform was tied into the previously development content management system to simplify management from a single interface.
